ok, i'm interested to get some opinions on this. with the departure of Ty Conklin to the Red Wings, who do you think the Pens third goalie might be? could this be the year that we see the debut of David Brown or maybe John Curry? or will the Pens look elsewhere and try to fascilitate a trade? do they even need a third goalie?
what are your thoughts? if the Pens were to make a trade, or maybe go the free agent route if they can move Daryl Sydor, who do you think would be a good fit for them?
personally, i would like to see what David Brown has to offer, but i don't know if he's NHL ready yet or not.

Eh, it's a third goalie. For an indicator the Islanders third goalie this season (Joey MacDonald) started 2 games all season. Both were in the last week of the season and were more for giving him a shot to prove something than anything. And this was with Rick DiPietro out for the last month or so.
Not really such a big deal, so I'm sure whatever the Pens have is fine. Conklin got used last year because he's really more NHL Backup than he is an AHL player and there was an injury to MAF.

i know it's not a big deal, but we'll need an NHL ready third goalie just in case Fleury or Sabourin get injured, which i hope doesn't happen. to be honest, i'm kinda surprised that the Pens didn't address that issue so far this offseason. even though Sabourin played well this past season, he's more of an AHL goaltender than an NHL one.
