The Flyers defenseman keep dropping like flies. The last word I heard is that Coburn is questionable for tomorrow night. If he can't go, Ryan Parent may be called up from the Phantoms to play.
As far as Crosby's goal, I could understand why it wasn't a goal, yet I wouldn't have been overly shocked if it was ruled a goal. Obvioulsly the key was that it was ruled a non-goal at first.
Penguins did get a break later when Derian Hatcher practically got a penalty for playing good defense on Malkin. Anyone think that's not a penalty if that was someone other than Malkin and Crosby?
The Flyers played well last night; unfortunately the Penguins just found the net more times than they did. I know for a fact the Flyers can play with them; I'm just not sure if they can beat them.
I'm not ready to give up hope yet, but they have to find a way to win Games 3 and 4.

I missed the Hatcher play, saw the Crosby play. I think it was a goal, but legally, I don't think they can call it one. Anyone with common sense realizes that it was across the goal line but because there was no distinct visual evidence, you can't make the call.
Stars-Wings right now.

Detroit won again last night despite the efforts of the Stars to limit their shot totals. With a 3-0 series lead, it looks like the Wings will be going back to another Stanley Cup Final.
Tonight, the Pens-Flyers play a huge Game 3. If the Pens win, it will be all but impossible for the Flyers to come back.

I know that I shouldn't bring back old stats.
I would still be happy should that happen, even if that exact same thing happens.
I do agree with GEO though, this is pivotal. If the Pens win again, we won't come back.
Please help us out, Kate.

Looks like a Pens/Wings final. Hope I'm wrong though.

Both the Penguins and Red Wings are outplaying their opponents completely. We won't be seeing any miracle comebacks this round.

The Stars did win last night (3-1) but there's really no doubt that the Wings will win at least one of the next three. It's just a question of whether or not they'll give Dallas some hope for a Game 6.
Tonight could mark the end of Philadelphia's season. The Flyers have won the first two games at home in each of their prior series, but Pittsburgh outplayed them in Game 3.
Any predictions?

4-3 Pens
Double OT
No team has come back from 0-3 in a while. I have no idea when it was last, I just know it wasn't within the last 3 years, and it wasn't done by the Flyers. Someone help me out with that stat.
I hope I'm wrong.

Someone help me out with that stat. I hope I'm wrong. Great news! Your wrong! The Flyers actually outplayed the Pens this game! All those fights at the end of the game were great. That was probably one of my favorite hockey gamews ever. I think the Flyers may have figured the Penguins out.

i disagree. we weren't in the game mentally, or physically for that matter, and we got outplayed. it was a pitiful performance and we deserved to lose, but i think we'll make up for it on home ice where we're 7-0 in the playoffs. and as a local writer put it, we're not 11-2 in the playoffs because the calls are going our way.

as a local writer put it, we're not 11-2 in the playoffs because the calls are going our way. Naturally, because it is a local writer, he will be biased towards the Pens. Although, if you feel that way, than thanks for the leniency, but we just might be able to beat you at home. Maybe. Note 1: I wouldn't say the Pens weren't in it physically. I would check the last 33 seconds out. Note 2: Timonen might come back. Kimmo? Timonen? He might come back?According to himself, he is skating today. Yes, today. Not next week. Similarly with Coburn. That's our top 2 Defensemen back on skates. Possibly. Coburn is more likely to return than Timonen, though.

The Flyers haven't "figured the Pens out." Malkin wasn't emotionally envolved in that game and Pittsburgh didn't start playing until the third period.
That, and the fact that the Flyers were playing with desperation in front of their home crowd, and you have a game that didn't mean much for the Penguins.
Check the 59:27 before that.
Neither will be 100%. As Barry Melrose just said, Coburn will have limited vision in his eye if/when he does play.
They aren't coming back.

What was Richards' problem? ![:P](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v409/Ge__off/tongueF.gif) Flyers deserved that win. That said, they haven't cracked the Pens. They didn't even dominate that game. There's a reason the series was 3-0 prior to last night, Pens will close it out in Game 5 or 6. I wouldn't be surprised if Philly squeezes out one more win..

Dallas is hanging in there against Detroit right now. It's 1-1 at the end of the first with Detroit holding a 14-10 shot advantage.

HockeyEdge: I have to ask - are you nervous?
Dallas squeezed out a 2-1 win today and with Game 6 at home, there's a decent chance that they'll be able to win it. A 3-0 deficit has been almost impossible to overcome in the past but it will happen again someday. The question is, will this be the series?
What do the Wings have to do to stop the Stars?
