I had this written in the "closer" thread but decided to put it here instead: "Tell that to Eddie Jordan, who decided that his 6'4" 3-point-shooting-ice-in-veins point guard who has a bum knee and who can't dunk even when he's healthy should drive the lane twice when his team is down, and then decides to run a 3 point play for your 6'7" 5th-option-3 point-shooter-on-the-team power forward. Good God end of rant."
Does anybody notice the lack of fun games to watch? They're all living up to my expectations so far... the majority of games are still played between two teams where one is clearly more talented.

The NBA playoffs have been great so far. I hate the regular season but playoff action is great....
and its even better when the 7 seed 76ers KNOCK OFF THE 2 SEED PISTONS BABY ON THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
90-86 victory to go up 1-0. I told all my friends that they will win game 1 and they did. i knew it. I should have bet money on this site.

Playoff basketball is boring. The first round stinks, the finals stink, and sometimes we end up with a seven game series in the conference finals.
The East is so bad it's not even funny. I feel like I'm watching the only eight title contenders every time I see a Western Conference matchup. It's all irrelevant. Sure, the Sixers pulled off a game 1 upset. They won't win the series. And considering the amount of people likely to agree with that, there is absolutely no intrigue to the series.

I also want to point out that besides the Sixers upset of the Pistons in Game 1, every signle series has gone to the team who has home-court advantage.
And the only halfway-decent game was San Antonio-Phoenix and their two OT's.

You just dont watch. I really wished the Warriors would have gotten in. They would have had a better shot at making a run than the Nuggets. The Nuggets are terrible. I mean they are good but on defense there is no effort whatsoever and i cant stand Iverson.

GEO said that San Antonio-Phionex was a "decent" game.
Well, I'll have you know that game was one of the best games I have seen as my time as an NBA fan.

These series are gonna be good, but for the Finals if the Celtics dont get in expect a West sweep once again....... nobody in the East can take the West besides Boston.... Detroit isnt what they used to be. They are pretty darn good, but they can not take the West.
I just dont want the Lakers back in the finals..... that would suck to see them back in that same position again.

I do watch, actually. You forget the Avalanche had their series wrapped up last week.
Incorrect. I said it was the only "halfway-decent" game. Meaning it was the level or above "halfway-decent." I'd have to agree it was a great game.
And for a conference in any sport to not have more than one team who can be considered "unsweepable" is pathetic. You don't get that in any other sport but basketball.

Its just my opinion. Its not always true. Baseball has it too. Every sport has it. Its just my opinion that teams have the potential to getting swept if they go to the finals.

Utah is the higher seed, so re-phrase my response to "every team that was supposed to win ended up winning."
And not one series has been split 1-1 yet. That may change with Detroit-Philly tonight.

I'm glad Atlanta took Game 3 at home. Their fans have been waiting a long time for the playoffs and the Hawks are still in the series. The same can't be said for the Raptors or Nuggets, however

The Sixers had a prime chance going into the second half (up 10) to take a commanding lead in this series. But with 11 minutes left in the 4th, Detroit has stormed back to take a ten point lead.
I don't know if it's inexperience, but the Sixers may have let a big opportunity go tonight.
Elsewhere, the Suns stayed alive in their series by beating the Spurs by 20 tonight. They're still down 3-1, however.
The Cavs beat the Wizards on a last second shot by a score of 100-97. Cleveland now has a 3-1 lead in their series, as well.
And in about twenty minutes, New Orleans and Dallas will play Game 4 of their series. The Hornets lead 2-1 but Dallas played very well in Game 3, beating the Hornets by 10.

The Nuggets are officially out and it makes you wonder how long AI and Melo will put up with this before looking to get out. Any ideas?
Anyone else want to chip in?

Well not looking good for the 76ers. Down 15 right now... but maybe we can come back. They needed to win game 3 and they blew it. Ahh man... if the Pistons win tonight this series is going to 7 games.

I don't know FF03. The main thought on the radio today is that the Pistons weren't that interested in the first few games. They were a bit arrogant and thought they could just walk over Philadelphia.
Giving the Sixers credit, they have played well and hard, but I don't think this is going 7.
