I'm sorry I couldn't resist...
Who else is excited for this Monday Night Showdown?!
It's getting the billing of a championship fight. Both offenses have really hit their stride over the last couple of weeks, and while the Jets top ranked defense has allowed teams to stick around, the Patriots bottom ranked defense has begun to gel. This game will likely decide who will win the AFC East as both teams have matched each other win for win over the last few weeks of the season.
Are you ready for some footbal!?

I know I'm excited. It seems like after every Jets win I then turn to the Pats game hoping they are losing so we can put some distance between the teams but it never happens. I think the competition has definitely raised the play of both teams this year.
I think if the Jets win, they likely will have the division under wraps as they will be a game ahead and have the tiebreaker. If the Pats win, however, it will be tough for the Jets to get the lead back.

First Off: Were BAAAACK BABY! Funny how it started about 5 years ago and now im in college. So welcome back everybody
As far as this game, its gonna be a good one but im gonna go with the Pats here. Belichek is gonna outcoach Rex here and this game will be won in a low scoring game. In the end the pats will do the little things better such as turnovers and penalties and will pull this off

The Patriots really are a much different team than when the two first squared off at the beginning of the season.
But. I'll tell you this as the biggest Patriots fan there is out there, I have NEVER seen Tom Brady look as scared as he did in the 4th quarter of that game. That defense is scary, boy.

ProFootballTalk had an interesting point earlier today about Brady. He's never fared well against a Rex Ryan run defense - going back to Rex's days as DC in Baltimore. A lot of it made sense - Ryan's teams are always very good at blitzing up the middle. Non-mobile QBs who aren't good at rolling out and throwing on the run (like Brady) struggle immensely. A kid like Colt McCoy, however, can overcome the blitzes.
