Last week, Martin Brodeur became the NHL's all time winningest netminder with win #552. His 3 stanley cups, eventual shutout record, and unbelievable consistency have many arguing that he is the greatest goaltender ever.
What about Roy? Or Dryden? Or Plante? Or Sawchuk? What about Hasek or Fuhr?
What say you?

Roy was my favourite goalie growing up, and I'm torn between him and Brodeur. I'll give the slight edge to Brodeur simply because of his ability to handle the puck. He's like a third defenseman out there, he makes his D's job just that much easier. He may have a weird posture it seems, but it's translating into a monumental career for Marty, and he's got atleast two seasons left in him to build on the record.

Brodeur had a great defense for the very vast majority of his time in New Jersey, and through the best years there he faced around 20 shots a night. He's a superstar goaltender who definitely deserves to be in the conversation of best ever, but that somewhat (albeit, unfairly) detracts from him for me a little bit. Roy was great. A nutcase, but great. My vote goes to Ken Dryden, who didn't have a shot at any of these records because he left the game early to pursue a law degree.
