The Hockey News (Isles A+, Avs B+, Pens B, Flyers C) I also know the Redline Report rated the Isles 1st overall, and McKeens Hockey Draft Guide gave the Isles a B+. Not sure about other teams grades there though. How do you think your team did?

the Pens did ok, although i think it was stupid for them to draft yet another center since they already have too many as it is. so, he'll likely not play an NHL game in a Pens uniform that isn't a pre-season game, unless he's one of those forwards who can play all three forward positions.

Are you sure Staal is going to be wearing black and gold much longer?

The Avs drafted more small centers even though their system is full of them. It seemed pretty clear that they're preparing for a team after Joe Sakic retires.
The selection of Delmas was a great one. He'll be a franchise goalie in a few years. I'm excited for Tessier. He has a shot at cracking the team in 2009.

The problem is that Staal is a #2 Center and could be a #1. Yet, he'll never jump ahead of Malkin or Crosby on the depth chart. It's a good problem to have, but still a problem that needs to be dealt with. I wouldn't be surprised if he's eventually traded.
