After 15 seasons, Giants DE Michael Strahan has called it a career. He is currently 5th on the all time sack list, and holds the record for most sacks in a season with 22.5 sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3433557 He was annoying, he talked alot and was kind of an idiot, but he was a very good player and i always feared him when heathly when he faced the birds. But he got his ring and hes going out the right way.

He probably has another productive year left in him, but going out on top isn't a bad thing.
I agree with FF03's comments. Often arrogant, but a great player nontheless.

I don't care if he was arrogant. At least he was loyal to his team, and didn't get into any trouble with the law.
Hey, he picked a better time than Tiki did!

The game will missed such a legend. Smart of him to go out on a high note, though.

The Hall of Fame Class of 2013 looks stacked:
Farve Sapp Strahan Odgen- who is making the announcement tomorrow
But i dont think they will all get in the same year. I know Farve and Sapp are locks to me, but the others will get in the following year.

Great time to retire. After a ring, just like Jerome "The Bus" Bettis. Great feeling when you win the SB you know, I know I was happy when the Giants beat the Pats. Only because I didn't want the Pats to go 19-0. Well, I bet the Giants will miss him a lot. I know I will. I mean you never get a night when a team gets 12.5 sacks, due to two players, Osi and Strahan.
