I was chatting with an Eagles fan today and he made a peculiar comment. He stated that he'd be happy for TO if he were able to win a championship in the next couple of years.
It got me thinking - are there any players you hate or used to hate who you respect enough to feel happy for?

Yeah, this is how I felt when Peyton Manning won the Super Bowl. It could have been because I was tired of hearing the "Peyton has never gotten a ring- is the next Marino" debate over and over. But regardless, I was happy for him.

Well heres how i think of it:
Was TO an idiot in Philly? Yes. He was a moron and then he left
But when he went to Dallas, i see a whole new attitude in him. Hes still performing on the field, and his celebrations are still good. Hes not complaining, hes just doing his work.
So if Dallas does win a Super Bowl in the next couple of years, would i be pissed that they won? Of course i would. But if TO doesn't act up and hes keeping the same attitude while performing like an all star, i would say Kudos for him, hes deserves it.
Its like with Coughlin and Eli this year, Tom almost got fired and Eli took alot of heat, and they won a title. So im happy for them to get through the time times and when everybody doubted them.

Using an example of hockey (I understand it's the football board) - I felt happy for Nick Lidstrom becoming the first European captain to win the Stanley Cup last night. While I may never actually root for the man, I still felt good about him having the chance to be the first to accomplish that.
Was I happy that Eli won the title? No. I don't like Eli Manning. Would I have been happy if Tiki Barber had won? Certainly.

Well, yes. I hate Tony Romo, if he wins a title, grats. Why? because he earned something only good players can achieve, so in my book hes a good player, but i still dislike him.
