A little news related to this: Tank was suspended for eight games, but he can cut that in half if he keeps doing what he's been doing. Thoughts? BWW: It's time to rap this up soon. He cant cut it in half... he can cut it two games. This penalty is way too light, I don't care what anyone has to say, this guy should not be playing this season.

WHY? He served his time in jail! As of other athletes. If he were a repeat offended, I'd understand you're beef. But in my opinion, the man served his time. It's over. It's done with.

Get final thoughts in by Wednesday. I'll judge either wednesday night or thursday morning.
Tank can make it 6 games if he behaves. But Pacman can't. Why is that? Because he went to a strip club before he met with Goddell? That shouldn't affect his punishment. He's a free man. He can do what he wants. What are the limits of Goddell and the NFL? What is the system of suspension? Or is it all Goddell's disgression? That can't be right.

As I said, he spent his time by the law enforcement, but not from NFL. This man went to Jail, Pacman didn't common sense says that the person charged and going to Jail should be suspended for a year.

I'm not going to do my usual final thoughts because I believe I have won this debate. remember, I am debating against king23Lebron and jdbsa05, not you, BWW. New commissioner. New times. If Tank did something to get sent to jail again, you could bet that he would be out for the season. But hey, he's been suspended. Satisified? Pacman has accounted for more arrests than any other player. He has been continuoussly ignorant and in turn, puts himself in the wrong situations. Sometimes, suspensions can be lessons. What did I learn? Do something wrong, come back, be a good person, do the right thing and the commissioner will cut you some slack. Do something wrong, do it again, and again, get warned about doing it again, do it again, again, again and again, and the commissioner needs to send a message.

Pacman has been accused, but never convicted and spent jail time. Look Tank has spent time behind bars. And it was in the offseason where he missed a total of 0 games. Then he gets out, gets a slap on the wrist with a 6 game suspension (depending on if he does good or not) Pacman did not go to jail, had an incident in a strip club which was speculative whether he did or did not do what he did. When you go to jail, that means your believed to have done it by the highest authority there is, When you don't and just get arrested with charges dropped.... who knows maybe he was just accused.... After all if he did "make it rain" then bang a lady's head on the floor at a strip club, don't you think he would have went to jail? Tank + Jail time = 8 game suspension Pacman + accused = season? doesnt make sense If you bring up the fact hes been a repeat offender, look at Vick, repeat offender of trouble non-nfl related and he has been suspended for 0 games, ZERO.

Was Tank sentenced under Roger Goodell?
And the same reason Selig isn't going to celebrate Bonds' home run record is the same reason the commish is following through on the suspension. Speculation is good enough in the world of pro sports.
And I would also like to say that when it comes to legal matters, almost every sports league disregards punishments handed down by authority. They make take into account that a certain player was arrested or questioned, but no matter what the penalty, it usually doesn't affect what happens to the player under the league.
And Vick is not a repeat offended. He gave the finger to some fans, and I believe he was fined. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) He is accused of the dog fighting thing, and after the investigation, will likely be offended.
The drug thing in the airport happened, but as a one time thing, you could say he got off easy.
But Pacman...look at the number of incidents. He should be suspended just for sheer stupidity.

While I'm torn on the argument itself, the winner of this debate is clear. All the participants did well, but the arguments were clearly stronger for one of them. GEO wins. Congrats. Good debate. I'm sorry there wasn't more participation. Or competition Lebron did well. I'm glad you participated. Keep it up. You tried hard, but your argument was basically one thing. Logic. While that's strong, that's often not enough. In this case, it's not. Great job all participants. GEO, get a new debate up whenever

Thanks! A new debate will be up soon, and I'm going to my own personal touch on it.
