This is the final debate #17. With everyone we now have, this better work, or this idea will be looked at.
I want to make it simple.
Which teams in both conferences have the best shot at taking down their number one seeds?
Who in the AFC has the best chance at beating San Diego? In the NFC, who is most likely to beat Chicago?
Is is Philly, because of their hot streak? Or New Orleans, because of their amazing season?
Can the Colts break the curse and beat LT? Can the Ravens defense shut the San Diego offense down?
Go.

In the AFC, I'm going with Baltimore. KC and NYJ are both WC's, and had nice seasons (especially the Jets but can't touch the Chargers. I think out of any defense, Baltimore's has the best shot at taking down Tomlinson, and keeping him under control. On the other side of the ball, I think the Ravens also have a good offense to score on SD. Merriman thrives on QB's who stay in the pocket that he can hit blindside, but McNair has a 6th sense for a blitzing LB and can scramble. In the NFC, I'm going with New Orleans. What better to score on the number one defense in the league than the number one offense? The Bears defense is good, but not amazing as Green Bay revealed last week. Colston, Horn, and Bush make three receivers who are playing great for Brees to throw to. McAllister ain't too shabby either, but I think the pass game is the key to beating Chicago. On the other side of the ball, I don't find Chicago's offense scary at all. Shaky QB, with a good running game = under 20 points against the Saints Defense. Combine that with the Saints putting up 24, I say NO would win a matchup between the two.

I missed the Green Bay game, but wasn't Chicago basically playing their subs? And wouldn't you say the real key to beating Chicago is getting Rex Grossman shaken up? I would think a team that blitzes, a lot, would have the best shot. A team like the Eagles maybe.

They are the only team in the NFC to not give up 3,000 yards in the air over the season. They also have a pretty good pass rush with 38 team sacks - T-6th in the NFC, and only two sacks behind the Eagles. Will Smith alone at 10.5, and is a very underrated DL. New Orleans also has a better run defense than Philly, and running is the Bears' bread and butter.

Ah.. I can't believe I missed this. I think that's the problem. We should make Trash Talking Competitions more prominent. There should be bigger/more links to it. I completely forgot about this.
(This is a weird topic 'cause if you come in too late, it's over)
