No straight favorite for the Heisman this year.
I've narrowed it down to:
Tim Teebow Mike Hart Colt Brennan
I'm leaning towards Teebow. He has the longest consecutive streak for rushing TD's (eight straight games) in the nation (including running backs) and has only throw three interceptions thus far.
Had he been healthy all season, it'd be Mike Hart for me.

If Michigan wins out, I'm all for Mike Hart. I think the OSU game will be a big determining factor. I'd rather give it to Andre Woodson than Teebow though.

Give it to Hart. Colt Brennan? He may throw 5 or 6tds a game, but thats along with 5int.
How about Graham Harell, Texas Tech?

I like Matt Ryan. He looks good out there. I believe if they are undefeated he gets it. Hes doing a really good job this year, beating out Teebow, Woodson and Brahm as the top QB
2nd i like Mike Hart. Hes done everything for them this year. Hes a freaking machine.
But its really a tough call. Alot of people are playing great. This could be a deep draft class if some juniors come out.

Matt Ryan: 2148 Yards, 17 TD, 6 INT, 63.2%
Andre Woodson: 2201 Yards, 26 TD, 4 INT, 64.7% Dennis Dixon: 1728 Yards, 16 TD, 3 INT, 69.3%, 416 Rush Yards and 7 TD Brian Brohm: 2993 Yards, 24 TD, 6 INT, 68% Tim Tebow: 1711 Yards, 17 TD, 3 INT, 66.1%, 578 Rush Yards, 10 TD Sam Bradford: 1872 Yards, 20 TD, 5 INT, 68.9%
All are better than Matt Ryan, and those are just QBs.

I'd like to see Mike Hart win it. There's no clear cut favorite and my preseason prediction of John David Booty has not worked out. Hart kept Michigan's season from completely falling apart after an 0-2 start and it would be great to see him win it after such a tough start to the season.

But he's not deserving... he's not the best player in the country.

So who is the best player if it's not Hart?

But he's not deserving... he's not the best player in the country. Are you paying attention to him because the man took the entire team on his back and while injured can put up more than 180yds a game and a couple TDS.

If Boston College finishes out undefeated, and Ryan keeps his clutch play up, give t to him.
Oh yeah, and I do believe Hart is the BEST.

I believe Todd Boeckman from Ohio State certainly deserves some consideration. There's a reason OSU is undefeated and he definitly part of the reason. He put on a show in the national spotlight Saturday night vs. Penn State.
Dennis Dixon should be up there also. He has led and controlled Oregon and has put them in the National Title picture for sure. He creates in so many ways with his arm and legs.
Colt Brennan deserves consideration because of his numbers, but we all know about the teams Hawaii plays. They'll put him in NY, but I don't see him winning it.
The favorite at this point has to be Matt Ryan from BC though. He led an improbable comeback Thursday in the rain in the 4th quarter at V-Tech during the 4th quarter and that's was Heisman candidates are made of. If BC is undefeated it's his. In this case I'm not looking just at stats

I'm not sure what Doug Flutie's stats looked like when he won it for BC, but that Matt Ryan play reminded me of the Flutie toss against Miami when Doug took home the Heisman. The symmetry is eerie.

It's an easier task when there's no passing game with Henne being out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you say it's an easier task for a Runningback to succeed when the team's star QB is out? It's much harder to run in a one-dimensional offense in my opinion, especially when other teams don't even blink at putting 8-9 guys in the box. I think it would be easier to have a great running game when other teams are focused on the pass as well. As far as the stats go, you also have to look at the players around them. I don't think BC's receivers are nearly as good as Florida's.
