I can't believe she's retiring in her early 20's. She's such a great player. I guess it's just not worth the aches and pains.

I think she's retiring more because of her personal life/marriage and less because of the pain. Eh, she doesn't have anything to prove to anyone.
I also wouldn't be surprised if she makes a return later on like Hingis.
I saw her win the U.S. Open from amazing seats only a couple of rows from her. Great player.

Your kidding! I would love to go to the US Open and to have those seats! But I would like to see the Williams sisters or Mary Pierce.

I had never been to a tennis match before, everyone is so polite there cheering for both sides. I also went last August back to the US Open and saw Sharapova play. I was in awe. I also caught most of the Blake match, but forgot who he was playing. I did root for him though because he's American

Those are some amazing matches!! I love Mary Pierce. Her and Monica Seles are the reason I like Tennis. Is it really hard to get tickets? I may try to catch an Open when I've done the other things on my to do list.

My girlfriend's Aunt has a lot of ticket connections around the city and queens and just asked us if we wanted to go. I'm sure, as most things are, if you try early enough you should be able to get tickets. I know most of the good seats though are now corporate owned.

Okay thanks for the info. It's a shame though that the good seats are all taken. Takes some of the fun outta it.

Republican: I know a place (legal) where you could get tickets. Albeit, they wouldn't be amazing, but I'm going to try and get them.
As for the retirement, it's a shame. Now that the Williams sisters are "back" some good matches could have been born again.
