Yes, the Warriors played better. The teams were still very evenly matched. The difference lies in one star outplaying the other. I challenge you to name one performance by either Dirk or McGrady that can rival Lebron's two best clutch performances: Game 7 at Boston and Game 5 against Detroit last year.

Dirk's performance is impressive and I give him props, but he hasn't performed at such a level on a consistent basis the way Lebron has.

Lebron hasn't played the quality of teams that Dirk has either.
You've now gone from "never had as clutch a performance" to "never had consistent clutch performances."

He's had one clutch performance. Lebron beat Detroit by himself last year. The Pistons claim the same level of quality as teams like Phoenix and San Antonio. While that is only one team, Dirk and his Mavs fell to the eye-poppingly mediocre Warriors last season. You don't see Lebron losing to the Wizards in round one.
