Welp, I've taken a leave of absence from this site without telling anyone. It's not because I've been busy (although I have), but.. just to see if anyone would miss me. Turns out- nope. Not a single PM. Nothing. Ha. So, I'm removing myself. Off staff. Off the site. I've got a lot going on in my life and although I felt this was somewhat of an escape from my real family, it seems my feelings were wrong. So, it's been real. GEO, NYI, BO- You guys are awesome. FFO3- The Eagles suck. Everyone else- you probably don't care to even read this lol. My screen name is BlindlyWeWander on AIM and all that so, if you ever want to get a hold of me- I'm always on. So long.

Multiple times you've been mentioned in the staff room wondering where you are So long as in so long until the annual big Yankees free agent signing?

I do agree with you on the Eagles
But what you called a leave of absence isn't a leave of absence unless you acknowleged it to another person who could then pass it on

You don't need to leave at all. Plus, you'll be back anyway You're always welcome here and I hoe you come back and help us revive our debate section. And I don't send PMs anymore. It means someone might actually reply back

Using TS as a "substitute" for your real family is wrong. I use this site for one thing and one thing only: posting about sports and occasionally politics/current events. I wrote a few articles for the "Talker" and participated in "The Duel" occasionally, but my main purpose for being here is posting about sports. A message board is only a message board. It shouldn't be likened to a family or friends or a place someone should be 24/7. Sure, GEO, NYI, and Blackops (well, him occasionally) are intelligent and kind staff members, but beyond that, they are strangers to almost everyone here. We shouldn't be relying on them to send us "thank-you notes" or "reminders" or "get-well soon cards". The bottom line is, that you are expecting to much from what is only a message board site. I've been inactive lately and you don't here me crying over that no one misses me. And yet you created a thread so everyone could apologize to you, when it was your fault you were inactive in the first place. GEO is right. You'll be back. Plus, if you really wanted to leave, you would have deleted your username already ________________________________________________________________________ On a side note, staff recruiting, anyone?

Whoa Whoa Whoa, this thread has gotten so heated. I don't think BWW meant to offend anyone. We all need time away from the board on occassion and I think that is what we all assumed was happening in this case. There's no need to finger point.
BWW- I'm sure we'll see you around but just in case, it's been a pleasure.

I would hope you stick around. We had some good baseball discusssions when I first signed up.
Also, I don't want to put words in his mouth, but it didn't sound like he was implying that he used this site as a substitue for a real family. We all need a release in life from the daily stress and challenges that life brings about, and for sports fans, this is an excellent place to unwind.

Other than the fact that he and I are actually friends, there is no friend connection on here, especially since I'm not a kind member.

Well if you are friends with him, you should convince him to come back. EDIT: You may be kind, but you're still a Mets fan (I appreciate the smite)

ha, i'm back. only cause i forgot to delete my account though.
OOYL- i'm not going to apologize for saying goodbye to my friends. these guys, whether i've seen them or not, have become friends of mine. we were a family-like community here. And I wasn't asking for a 'thank you note' or anything. I was just gone for several months after being fairly active for quite some time. without being here, no one seemed to notice. it's sad i'm even explaining myself to you.
and i'm not mad. the only reason i'm leaving with a sour taste in my mouth is now because of you, so.. thanks.

I don't get why people find the need to delete their account. It's not like it matters if they just leave it inactive, and then they're able to retain it should they choose to come back *hint hint*

When you re-create your account...let me know...we'll work something out.
But come on, re-create it now. Even if you don't use it, you'll always be apart of Talkin' Sports.
